HouseTreeHouse
A band built on shared history and unflinching honesty, HouseTreeHouse transforms the raw materials of growing up—friendship, heartbreak, and the search for self—into music that resonates with quiet power. Formed by childhood friends Jake Davis (vocals/guitar), Jack Tate (drums), and Justin Rea (bass), their sound is rooted in the rhythmic precision of high school band rooms and the DIY ethos of their Arkansas upbringing. The addition of cellist Susannah Stubbs (another Searcy native) and producer/guitarist Marco Samour expanded their palette, weaving classical warmth and atmospheric depth into their indie-rock foundation.
Little Rock, AR
What defines HouseTreeHouse isn’t just their musical alchemy—it’s their ability to articulate life’s most fragile moments.
Jake’s lyrics, at once poetic and plainspoken, explore everything from political disillusionment to the ache of unrequited love, while the band’s arrangements mirror the tension between youthful energy and hard-won maturity. Live, they’re equally capable of punk-fueled catharsis and hushed vulnerability, a dynamic that’s earned them a devoted following.

More than a band, HouseTreeHouse feels like a living archive—a testament to how friendship evolves, art deepens, and the songs we write to survive become the ones that help others do the same.
